Truth be told, I come from a family that didn’t have enough money. It was a very tough situation in the country: my dad had a low-paying job, while my mum took care of three kids. Amidst the weight on their shoulders, my parents tried hard to fill our hearts and fulfill our lives. That’s when I decided to do the same: to use my positive energy to influence others... even if I bear the burden of our struggles.

What hurts the most is seeing my parents go to hell and back just to make ends meet. I remember coming home from school, and my mum was preparing lunch - all smiles and laughs. That’s when it dawned on me how unfair it was that good people like her, who were highly educated, artistic, and talented, could be forgotten just because of the weight of their pockets. I locked myself in my room, and my confidence was broken...

Then, as if by chance, something amazing happened...

I learned about a ballroom dance lesson and asked my mum if I could go. We went and witnessed the beauty of dancing: the confidence in their steps, the elegant ladies and noble gentlemen, and the artistic expression of their emotions. My mum saw an opportunity for me and FINALLY admitted me to dance school. It was an unforgettable moment that, to this day, I hold dear to my heart.

Instantly, my positivity saw an outlet with music. It became crystal clear to me how just one step can build my confidence from the ground up. My life is the dance floor. From home to the ballroom, I find myself moving to the rhythm, looking on the brighter side of things, and swaying my way toward a better future.
